Gordon Campbell, a Texas native, opened The Amarillo in Omaha, NE, in 1987, making it an iconic, nationally recognized restaurant for over 22 years. During its peak, The Amarillo hosted and catered to entertainment legends like Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill, Garth Brooks, and Brooks and Dunn.
So glad to find this place after enjoying the beautiful Duvall downtown. The baby back ribs were very tender and juicy but can use a little more flavor. Make sure you order Texas style with onions, pickles and toast. The pork belly burnt ends were very unique and delicious. We were very impressed by the crispiness of outside and tenderness of inside. The pork fat melted in our mouths. Highly recommend this wonderful BBQ place.
Literally sitting in my house, waiting for this establishment to open! Hands down the BEST cornbread we've ever had! The Mac and cheese is one of the best we've ever tasted!! I love the pulled pork, husband is a huge fan of the brisket! This place was so needed in our tiny little town and we are so thankful!
Best barbecue I've had in the Greater Seattle Area! Everything was perfectly done. They even gave us a refund for some of the cornbread we ordered when they found out some of us are gluten-free, top-tier service. Can't recommend Amarillo enough if you're in Duvall!
Seriously incredible. You can truly taste the quality and care put into this BBQ, it's the real deal and the prices are so affordable for awesome BBQ. Meat is juicy and flavorful! Duvall is blessed to have y'all! We shared the pulled pork, brisket, baby back ribs (a personal favorite!!), sausage-some of the best we've ever had!, burnt ends-I loved the coleslaw and crispy breadsticks too, and jalapeno poppers. We can't wait to come back for lunch and try their sandwiches. The sauces are incredible too. Our only regret is that we can't eat here daily 12/10
We ordered BBQ from here an embarrassing number of times in 2024 because it is legit the best BBQ I've had in the Seattle area. They prepared a special smoked Christmas ham in December and it was lights out amazing. Sides are excellent and my family has an unhealthy love of their hatch pepper mac and cheese. Lean beef brisket is our go-to order and make sure you ask for the ''white sauce'' which is a garlic aioli and will elevate the brisket to a new level of awesomeness. Thanks for giving us killer BBQ in Duvall!
